Programs

DC Bilingual Public Charter School implements a two-way immersion Spanish and English learning program for all students. All students, regardless of home language, learn concepts and skills through the Spanish and English languages.

PreK Instruction

• PreK is offered for 3 and 4 year olds. 
• Classrooms are led by two co-teachers, a native English speaker and a native Spanish speaker. 
• Highly qualified teacher assistants also support the learning in the PreK classrooms.
• Literacy skills are taught in both Spanish and English.
• Math and Social Studies are taught in English. 
• Science, Nutrition, and Character Education are taught in Spanish.
• Weekly specials classes include gardening, art, music, library skills, and movement.

K-5 Instruction

• Students learn from two co-teachers in Spanish and English classrooms every day.
• Literacy skills are taught in both Spanish and English.
• Math and Social Studies are taught in English. 
• Science, Nutrition, and Character Education are taught in Spanish.
• Specials classes are offered by term in art, music, technology, physical education, and gardening.
