DC Bilingual’s strength is in our shared commitment to one another and to our Global LEADers’ bright futures.

For the past 20 years we’ve worked with staff, students, caregivers, and supporters to build a strong foundation of academic excellence, experiential learning, and family-like culture. While we’ve made tremendous progress over the past 20 years, we recognize that there’s more work to do to hold ourselves and our community accountable to one another and our shared commitment to LEAD. As a school community, we must continue to strengthen these shared-commitments and values to support the next generation of global leaders.

This school year, we will double-down on our investments in enriching young minds, embracing our diversity, and engaging our school community in events and celebrations that bring one another together. These investments will ensure DC Bilingual has an even stronger foundation to support more generations of global leaders.We’re only as strong as our community of support.

Fall in Love with DC Bilingual: Birthday Edition promises to be a joyous occasion filled with laughter, love, and camaraderie as we celebrate #20YearsStrong and honor those who helped shape our school community and look forward to an even brighter future!

For the past 20 years we’ve built a strong foundation of academic excellence, experiential learning, and family-like culture alongside our staff, students, caregivers, and supporters. Because of our hard-working, dedicated community and expanding network of partners and supporters, DC Bilingual has grown to become one of the top performing elementary schools in the city, and our students continue to demonstrate academic excellence year after year.

Enrich our global leaders’ young minds through culturally-rich field trips, science fairs, exploration events, and our annual fifth grade trip to Puerto Rico;

Embrace our community’s diverse identities, by furthering our investments in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. We will continue to create an inclusive and equitable community that honors our unique identities by providing anti-racist trainings and affinity group opportunities for adult community members, with the goal of providing fair and just outcomes for all students;

Engage our entire school community through monthly school events, family Cafecitos, out of school social events, community-based programming, and other meaningful opportunities to create connections.
