Day 1: Exploring the DCB Model & Learning Environment

Understand DCB’s History, School Model & Approach: Gain insight into DCB’s history, mission, lead values, and core components that drive student success.

Reflect and self-assess your school’s journey: Identify pivotal moments in your school’s history that have shaped its growth and success, and collaborate with your team to self-assess your school’s alignment with the DCB Approach framework, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for growth.

Day 2: Building a Thriving School Culture: The History & Evolution of DCB’s School Culture

Deepen understanding of how mission alignment, core beliefs, and equity-driven systems work together to cultivate a thriving school and classroom culture. 

Reflect on key learnings and begin to plan how to apply DCB’s mindsets and practices to strengthen school culture and belonging. Explore a culture that centers identity & belonging, reflection, celebrates diverse identities, and fosters inclusion, voice, and high expectations.

Day 3: Building a Thriving Classroom Culture: Our Why and Our Way

Explore the Culture Walkthrough Protocol at DCB by examining its purpose, components, and how it functions as a meaningful system to sustain strong school and classroom culture, promote coherence, and drive continuous improvement.

Reflect on the morning’s learning and begin to transfer key strategies to your own school. Apply DCB’s mindsets, tools, and systems to create an initial roadmap with clear goals, defined roles, and actionable next steps for strengthening school and classroom culture.
